Kupang is where Rae Anderson is making meaningful inter-cultural interactions possible for Australians and Indonesians. Australia-Indonesia relationship building at work
My name is Sally and I am a doctor in WA and work often in remote and outback areas.
I have been studying Indonesian through Murdoch University in Perth since 2014 as a distance student.
One of the best aspects of the course has been UniBRIDGE, which is like a chat room that enables students from all over Australia and Kupang, in West Timor (Indonesia) to communicate and practise Indonesian.
I love UniBRIDGE, as it keeps me sane and in touch with the world when I am working in very isolated places.
I can arrange on Facebook to talk to my friends in Kupang or in WA and practise my Indonesian.
In fact it is the best part of the course, and lots of fun.
I would thoroughly recommend it to any universities that are not using it for teaching Indonesian.
